![]() ![]() ![]() Its a basic military strategy that has saved my ass in just about every action game ive ever played. Instead, i stay a couple feet back from the door, sidestep, aim, and sweep (AKA "Slicing the Pie"), so i can neutralize any threat that comes through the door without getting cornered or stuck in a CQC trade. ![]() Im the type of person to play in-depth tactical shooters (Escape From Tarkov, Squad, R6 Franchise, etc.), so i guess i tend to have a slightly different playstyle than most people.įor example, i typically dont enter cover and hug walls to peek through doors in third person games, especially during a firefight, because it makes it a lot easier for someone to rush around the right or left side of the door and come up on you while youre still stuck in cover on the wall. I said the phrase "out of cover" in my previous post. When you are in cover, it switches automatically when you aim. Not being able to do so puts the player at a disadvantage when they are trying to peek a corner to the left outside of cover Every 3rd person game should have the ability to shoulder swap purely for convenience. Its not a matter of whether or not its an action oriented game. I missed the garage a couple times and got rekt, but once i executed it correctly it was like an A-Team moment. I even took my time to plan out an attack where i took cover in the bed of a pick-up, hacked it to drive stright through an enemy area, while i unloaded on people, and then into a garage that closed behind the me when i entered. Ive actually been having a blast blending the combat and hacking together, especially using the vehicles to create/remove cover or just straight up eliminate threats. The game is about hacking, I will play gta if I want to shoot people. I haven't used a gun yet (apart from the taser in situations where I am caught or trapped on foot). WD2 actually trys to challenge people into only using non-leathal hacking to progress.
